Hail Up!
I walk into "Tropical Java," my favorite coffee spot on island, and I don't even have to order anymore--they just begin to make my drink. It's a shame.
I don't eat any type of flesh; I cut out white flour and white sugar; and I don't drink soda. I've cut many other things out of my diet. I don't smoke (anything). I practice yoga, meditate, dance, write poetry and buy food from a co-op--but I am just a puny weakling when it comes to coffee. I love the stuff! And now, with the graduate work kicking my bahna (that's butt for those of you not from these parts), I've become only more attached. I not only love the stuff, but we have such a great relationship that I may just marry--or enter into a civil union with--my my beau Joe.
He's dependable and perks me up on the slowest of mornings. He warms me up or cools me off. When I'm on my last threads one sip sends thrills......ahhhhhhhh!
So, thanks to this Fasttrack MLIS program I stand in the middle of the road. Do I continue drink from the tall cup of mocha loveliness, or do I cut out one of the last vices I have (Did I mention I'm having an affair with a hunk of cake) ?
And as I sip my steaming cup of java, I say: in two years...in two years...
